複文をスラッシュ・リーディングする。上級編 3、接続詞、間接疑問
名詞節や副詞節を導く従属接続詞には名詞節を導く、that, if,whether,副詞節を
導く、when,while, before, till, as, if, thoughなどがあります。
したがって、上級編では、スラッシュは文型の塊以外の前置詞、関係詞、接続詞、
疑問詞の前に入れます。
I know/that Mark is from Boston.
「私は知っている、マークはボストン出身であることを。」
The fact is/that I don't know anything/about the matter.
「事実は、私は何も知らないという事だ、その件について。」
I'm sure/(that) he'll be here/in an hour.
「きっと、彼はここに来るだろう、、一時間後に。」
I don't know/where he is from.
「私は知らない、彼がどこの出身かを。」
He asked me/whether or not I woulg go/to the movies.
「彼は私に尋ねた、私が行くかどうかを、映画に。」
You should read as many books/as you can/while you are young.
「あなたは多くの本を読むべきだ、できるだけ、若い間に。」
My mother always sings/when she works/in the kitchen.
「母はいつも歌を歌う、作業をするとき、キッチンで。」
I took a taxi/because it was raining.
「私はタクシーに乗った、雨が降っていたので。」
She spoke clearly/so that we could understand her.
「彼女はハッキリ話した、私たちが理解できるように。」
